Doing Too Much

One of the biggest mistakes people make in their quest for a healthier body is to forget the golden rule, which is that patience is your best friend. Nothing happens instantly, and heading to the gym, lifting weights that are far too heavy and doing sets until you throw up, does nothing but tear your body apart and keep you further away from your goals.

Stay slow and steady, calm, cool, collected, and most of all, smart. Intensity is a great tool in the gym, but too much of it can seriously hurt you. Know your limits, track your progress and build from the ground up. Quality over quantity is the main point behind this rule.

Forgetting To Hydrate

It may sound like something pretty trivial, but properly hydrating your body, especially during the course of rigorous workouts and healthy eating, is of the utmost importance. Not only does water keep you hydrated and healthy, it helps to lubricate the joints, and pump up the muscles too. Adequate water in the body helps to speed up the rate of recovery and help flush out the toxins from your body.

Improper Eating Habits

Just as the rule states for doing too much, the same rule applies to your healthy eating habits. Eating healthy foods, fresh fruit and vegetables, watching your intake of fats, calories and sugars, all help you to achieve the healthy body you’re looking for. A nice, small meal of healthy food is far better for you than a large meal of unhealthy food. Approach every facet of your healthy lifestyle, especially the workouts, with patience, intelligence and respect. Rome was not built in a day, and likewise, the body you crave won’t happen overnight.
